Motorists who drink and drive are involved in approximately 50% of fatal collisions and an equal percentage of serious injury collions. After 2 a.m., it is estiamted that 2 of every 4 motorists on the road are driving under the influence of alcohol. These disturbing statistics reflect a dangerous trend on our roads that the Austin Police Department is determined to reverse.
